Once assembled the RockyBorg needs to be calibrated so that the steering moves over the correct range.
Calibrating the servo / steering
Start by clicking on the "RockyBorg Tuning GUI" link on the desktop. You may get a dialog asking you what you want to do, select the Execute option to load the GUI.

The GUI will start by show the currently set calibration values.

Move the slider down until the RockyBorg is fully turning left.

When the RockyBorg is in the correct position click the "Save minimum" button.

Move the slider up until the RockyBorg is fully turning right.

When the RockyBorg is in the correct position click the "Save maximum" button.

Move the slider down again until the RockyBorg is approximately straight.

When the RockyBorg is in the correct position click the "Save startup" button.

Your RockyBorg is now calibrated and ready to use :)
Checking the servo and motors
RockyBorg also has a testing GUI which can be used to check the motors and servo are working correctly. Start by placing the RockyBorg so that the wheels can move freely and the truck can rotate without hitting anything.

Click on the "RockyBorg Testing GUI" link on the desktop. The RockyBorg should move the servo so it is straight.

Moving the left slider up slowly should cause the left wheel to turn forwards

Moving the left slider down slowly should cause the left wheel to turn in reverse

Pressing the "All Off" button will stop the motor.

Moving the right slider up slowly should cause the right wheel to turn forwards

Moving the right slider down slowly should cause the right wheel to turn in reverse

Pressing the "All Off" button will stop the motor.

Moving the bottom slider to the left will steer the RockyBorg to the left.

Moving the bottom slider to the right will steer the RockyBorg to the right.
